Karl Rove

Karl Rove is a political operative who has spent the past 40 years engaging in dirty tricks, election manipulations and corruption of the political process.  These were first noticed in 1970, when Rove used a false identity to enter the campaign office of Democrat Alan J. Dixon.  He stole 1000 sheets of campaign letterhead, printed fake campaign rally fliers promising “free beer, free food, girls and a good time for nothing,” and distributed them in order to disrupt Dixon’s rally.

He next worked for the Nixon re-election campaign and then scammed his own election to win Chair of the College Republicans in l973.  In l974, he hitched his future to the Bush family.

Rove’s underhanded electoral chicanery in the 2000 and 2004 Bush elections is well documented along with his dealings with Florida SOS Katherine Harris and Ohio SOS Ken Blackwell.  What is lesser known is the evidence developed over the past few years showing that Rove masterminded an elaborate election rigging operation run by Bush IT expert Michael Connell.  When Mr. Connell indicated that he was ready to give testimony against Rove, he was killed in a mysterious plane crash.  Connell’s sister calls the crash, a “Christmas gift to Rove….

Rove was also implicated in the outing of covert CIA operative Valerie Plame, the missing White House emails, the improper firing of U.S. Attorneys and the “stealing” of Alabama Governor Don Siegelman’s election.

Ed Gillespie

Ed Gillespie began his career as a Senate parking lot attendant, then as a phone solicitor for the Republican National Committee, and then as an aide to Senator Dick Armey and advisor the George W. Bush. Bush tapped Gillespie to guide Samuel Alito through his Supreme Court confirmation hearings.  In 2003, Gillespie was selected as Chairman of the RNC where he was involved with the missing RNC emails.  He was also implicated in the Rathergate scandal.

When Karl Rove left the White House in 2007, Gillespie took over his duties and blitzed reporters with rabid and false justifications for the Iraq war.  He later formed a lobbying firm called Gillespie Strategies to lobby for Big Business.

Jim Dyke

Jim Dyke also began his career as a Senate parking lot attendant and parlayed the connections he made into a high-powered job as a corporate lobbyist.  Later he worked for the Giuliani campaign, Bush Administration, Republican National Committee and Senator Bill Frist in communications and messaging.

Jim Dyke is a Rove political operative who helped create the GOP front group, American Center for Voting Rights (“ACVR”) to spread false information about “voter fraud” by Democratic organizations.   ACVR has been called a “fraud” by mainstream media.  The group’s principals have been tied to Jack Abramoff, former Congo dictator Joseph Kabila, and numerous election scandals, including the 2000 Florida recount, and the destruction of Democratic voter registration forms by the GOP front group, Voters Outreach for America.  A multi-part investigative series of stories about the ACVR “scam” resulted in its disbanding.

Steven Law

Steven Law was ED of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Chief of Staff to Senator Mitch McConnell and Deputy Labor Secretary under George W. Bush.  Later he became Chief Counsel of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a cabal of corporate barons dedicated to opposing common sense regulation, health care, financial reform, environmental protection, and corporate accountability.

Law managed the Chamber’s National Litigation Center that was responsible for the reviled 2010 Supreme Court case Citizens United that allows for unlimited corporate funding of elections.  Law also oversaw the creation of a host of Chamber front groups with patriotic sounding names that were used to target state court judges who ruled in favor of citizens harmed by Big Business.

As Chief Counsel of the Chamber, Law’s duties included protecting Chamber CEO Tom Donohue from criminal investigations by the DOJ, SEC and FEC for campaign finance violations, insider trading, stock manipulation and various other felonies.

Michael Duncan

Mike Duncan, a staunch supporter of Senator Mitch McConnell, was first Treasurer, then General Counsel and finally Chairman of the Republican National Committee. He has worked on every Republican presidential campaign since Richard Nixon’s.

After leaving the RNC, he became Chairman of the Tennessee Valley Association.   He ran for re-election to the RNC but lost to Michael Steele.

Duncan was behind fundraising letters accusing Obama of “stealing elections,” and false accusations against ACORN for nonexistent “voter fraud.”   Duncan was widely criticized for the 2008 loss to Democrats.

Carl Forti

Carl Forti is the former Communications Director for the National Republican Campaign Committee.  In 2006, he and former Bush White House spokesman Ari Fleischer launched Freedom’s Watch, a right wing organization that promised to raise $200 million to support Bush policies and attack those opposed to the Iraq war. The organization was suddenly shut down in December 2008.

Forti also served as Deputy Campaign Manager and Political Director for Romney for President.

Forti has a penchant for supporting indicted politicians including Bob Ney and Tom Delay.

Jo Ann Davidson

Jo Ann Davidson is former Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives where she pushed for energy deregulation. She was also the Republican National Co-Chair working with former Ohio Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell and GOP IT expert Michael Connell.

Davidson is very close with Bush Pioneer Mercer Reynolds who raised over $200 million for G.W. Bush’s re-election campaign.  In 2000, Reynold’s Tennessee company, NextLec, merged with Smartech, the GOP IT company that contracted with Connell and was implicated in the manipulation of the 2004 Ohio election results, the missing White House emails and the off grid GOP email servers.

Harold Simmons, a metals and pharmaceutical baron and longtime corporate raider, is worth at least $5 billion.  He is opposed to the capital gains tax, supports storing nuclear waste, and has donated to Republicans for the past 30 years.

In the 1980s, he supported not only Ronald Reagan but also Oliver North and John Poindexter after they were implicated in the Iran-Contra affair.   He was fined by the FEC in l993 for making donations to Republicans that exceded the federal limit.

Simmons’ daughters and grandchildren have accused him in a lawsuit of making illegal campaign donations, forcing them to sign blank campaign donations to conservative causes, and illegally using trusts to make political donations.

Simmons donated four million to the Swift Boat Veterans’ attack on John Kerry and bankrolled attacks on Barack Obama.  He is called the “king of smear” because of his unapologetic financing of negative and false attack ads.
