Crossroads GPS 501c4 Status May Be In Jeopardy
On March 15, 2011, we filed a strong letter with the IRS requesting that it deny 501c4 status to Karl Rove’s Crossroads GPS because it has violated the Federal Election Campaign Act. If that c4 status is denied, the group will have to disclose all of its 2010 donors and pay taxes on the tens of millions it spent during that election. Moreover, it will be prohibited from using c4 status in the 2012 election.
